Physiotherapy

This department has been in existence since the establishment of the medical centre in the year 2000. It has been supporting patient care with physical therapy, movement and exercises, patient education/counseling, pain management, prevention of disability and restoration of functional status of damaged parts of the body. The department has staff strength of tenured qualified physiotherapists.
Between 2018 to 2021, the department through donations received additional equipments to improve its efficiency. These items include:
 Electrical trade mill
 Paediatric standing and walking parallel bar
 Wooden stepper
In addition to improving efficiency, this has also improved the financial status of the physiotherapy revolving fund.
Similarly, four (4) additional staff was recruited in 2018 while some were sent for various training and seminar including an M.Sc in Clinical Physiotherapy at the Bayero University Kano. The staff of the department is now more actively involved in the bi weekly departmental seminar, the monthly hospital clinical presentation and the weekly public enlightenment programme at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Dutse, Jigawa State.
