Digital X-ray

Since the inception of the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu in the year 2000, our Radiology Department has been using the conventional x-ray to support clinicians in making diagnosis.

In collaboration with the Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kudu Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, in June 2020, a new digital x-ray was procured and services commenced immediately. This is the only hospital in the entire Jigawa State which provides this service.

This service is now available on a daily basis, an uninterrupted solar power has been provided to ensure regular service. Prior to this, patients had to go to Kano for digital x-ray services.
